Inspired by the iconic song by Hagen singer NENA: 99 refugees spread across a lawn in the city park, where the fallen of WWI are also commemorated. Families, young people traveling alone, an elderly man, all fled war. Each looks straight into the lens, silent but present, holding a balloon in the same defiant grip. Not an anonymous mass, but individuals with their own story, a nod to an 80s song, and at the same time a mirror for the present.
