Noortje Palmers is a visual artist & photographer based in Antwerp.
Noortje Palmers (°1987) is a Belgian artist and photographer with a passion for photography in all its forms. Over the years, she has grown into a distinctive voice in contemporary photography with solo and group exhibitions at renowned venues including the MAS in Antwerp, C-mine in Genk, and the Osthaus Museum in Germany.
Her work is characterised by a unique mix of spontaneity and choreographic precision, driven by creative impulses and a fearless sense of colour. Noortje creates worlds rather than images. Playful, layered and full of identity. Her inner child is never far away.
Alongside her artistic practice, Noortje has built a strong reputation as a commercial photographer. Whether working with a first-time model, an everyday person or a prominent public figure: everyone feels at ease in front of her lens. That ease is no coincidence. It is the result of a warm presence, a sharp eye and years of experience.
In the balance between commercial work and free artistic projects, Noortje has found her own way of telling stories. Stories that are never grey, never colourless but always deeply, unmistakably hers.
